Drone Shooting Guide

This page is a drone shooting guie for optimized analysis performance

1. Do Not Use the Zoom Function

Avoid using the zoom feature. Zooming alters object size and resolution, causing image distortion that can significantly increase errors in distance and length measurements.

2. Shooting Considerations

2.1. Always Center the Object in the Frame

Ensure the target object is positioned at the center of the frame. This is crucial for accurate distortion correction during BEV transformation. When adjusting the composition, align the object precisely with the center.

2.2. Take Off from Solid Ground

Launching the drone from land ensures the highest sensor accuracy. Whenever possible, begin your flight from solid ground. Additionally, note that sensor accuracy may degrade over time, so footage captured later in the flight may have greater measurement error than earlier footage.
